We just saw French fashion house Kenzo offer a novel approach in their latest Vans collab, a release that in retrospect, might be more closely related to this Three Stripes trio than was immediately evident.

The upper is made up of a gradient grey and black jacquard woven material surrounded by grey and black suede accents. The gradient color scheme continues onto the Dellinger webbing over the white midsole. The shoe does not come without its distinctive markings, as Hanon and adidas co-branding can be found throughout, including on the inner-tongue that bears the coordinates of Hanon's hometown of Aberdeen.adidas Consortium is Adidas Adizero Cleats teaming up with Singapore-based retailer Limited Edt for a special take on the iconic Superstar silhouette. Releasing to coincide with "bank vault"-inspired renovations being made to Limited's store, the sneaker features a bold design concept meant to reflect the interior of gentlemen's clubs.

The outside panel of the shoe is highlighted by its Adidas Adizero Football Cleats simplicity as adidas removes the three stripes and replaces them with a clean burnished burgundy finish. The medial inside of this luxurious model comes equipped with a colorfully embroidered floral Batik-inspired design paying tribute to the sneaker's Southeast Asian origin. Finally, the Superstar's most recognizable trait  the toe shell  receives a burgundy colored gradient that is supposed to mirror a classic leather sofa.

It was one of five Three Stripes classics blanked out for last fall's  Tabula Rasa' collection, and now adidas Consortium brings back  The superb shoe for high mileage training," in a new colorway that perfectly straddles Adidas Bounce Women'S today and this model's 1984 origins. The adidas Consortium ZX 500 pictured above suggests even more to come after the conclusion of the  Your Story' saga, its effortless aesthetics hopefully a sign of more to come. adidas has reached far and wide in their summertime celebration of 30 years of Torsion, and the latest partner to pay homage to the technological innovation is the UK's Footpatrol , who's teamed with adidas Consortium for a special ZX Torsion inspired by London's Notting Hill Carnival. Attracting over one million people annually, the Notting Hill Carnival is one of the world's largest street festivals, and is lead by members of London's West Indian community. It's known for its vibrant colors, bold outfits, and signature music, so Footpatrol has opted to get a little colorful themselves, equipping their Torsion's grey base with bold bursts of neon yellow  the most notable of which arrives on the fuzzy tennis ball-style Three Stripe midfoot graphic.

adidas Consortium is wiping the slate clean and opting for a fresh start in late 2011. Will the collection return to its namesake form and collaborate extensively with Adidas Duramo Slide the hottest names from fashion and art, or will Three Stripes keep their in-house brain trust occupied with pumping out new creations? If the latter proves to be true, we're all in for a treat because the adidas Consortium  Tabula Rasa' five-pack comes with no  x'es or extra names, but they are indeed among the season's standout releases.
