The world is expecting adidas tubular shadow the black version of the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 to drop alongside the long-awaited return of the Air Jordan 6 Maroon this Friday. For the first time since the Turtle Dove 350 and the Shattered Backboard 1 squared off back in June, Yeezy and the Jumpman will have a true battle for supremacy on the same weekend. This is like the time Kanye West and 50 Cent had their pseudo-rivalry because their albums were releasing at the same time and people were either for Kanye .

There were two that piqued my interest because it features the two biggest brands in soccer  adidas and Nike  claiming victory in Brazil.For the big two, it seemed like the battle was less about who actually won the World Cup and more about adidas alphabounce who the people were talking about more on social media and other platforms. However, for the record, it was adidas-sponsored Germany but the player who scored the winning goal, Mario Gotze, is a Nike athlete was wearing the Nike Magista Boot.

The numbers that each brand adidas slides sent out in their press releases were quite staggering to say the least. According to adidas , the brand grew exponentially during the World Cup to go with their on-field accomplishments:" 2 adidas finalists including the winners, Germany " adidas Golden Ball winner  Leo Messi " adidas Golden Boot winner  James Rodriguez " adidas Golden Glove winner  Manuel Neuer " Most tournament assists  Juan Cuadrado " FIFA Fair Play Award  Colombia " FIFA adidas iniki Team of the Tournament  8 adidas players out of 11

So for those that follow the business of sports and the battle between the brands over the most popular sport in the world, this was a big deal. Nike was not the official sponsor of the World Cup but you wouldn t know it from the way they plastered the swoosh all over Brazil in the years leading up to the World Cup and during the tournament itself. As for adidas, they know that their lead in soccer is shrinking (or it might already be gone) .

Even going so far as to call the movement  cleathead culture. Meanwhile, Jordan Brand has been making their mark on the gridiron with their solid cast of NFL stars, retros on the field and most recently, becoming the official outfitter of Michigan . Sure, it will always be a little weird to see a Jumpman logo on a Michigan jersey, but then again, we had the same hang-ups when baseball players, golfers adidas basketball shoes and NASCAR drivers had the same logo and now it s as a normal part of a uniform as the three stripes or the swoosh.

But you ll have to work a little harder to obtain these pairs in comparison to the more recent pairs that have dropped. One of the colorways releasing this weekend is the True Form (Trfrm) pair seen above. This Yeezy 350 V2 sports a neutral theme with a light grey knitted upper, its signature translucent stripe on the sides reveals orange accents underneath. Finally, a semi-translucent ridged sole that sports an orange colored Boost cushioning completes the style.
